Certiva Goes Live on 28 September 2026: What Certification Bodies Should Know

What has been announced

Beginning on 28 September, Certiva plans to invite certification bodies into Certiva Try in the order they joined the waitlist. The company describes Certiva Try as a working demonstration environment with safe demonstration data, rather than a slide presentation or prerecorded tour.

Access will be released in sequence because early onboarding capacity is limited. Joining the waitlist does not create a purchase obligation; it establishes a certification body's place to evaluate the platform when an opening becomes available.

A connected view of the certification lifecycle

Certification work is often divided among a CRM, spreadsheets, shared folders, document templates, email threads and signing tools. Each system may perform its own function, but the handoffs between them create duplicate entry, incomplete records and status questions that have to be answered manually.

Certiva's proposition is to keep the application, audit programme, competence records, evidence, findings, review, decision, certificate and surveillance cycle within one controlled record. The first cohort will be able to explore how those parts operate together.

Where AI fits—and where it does not

Certiva includes AI-assisted report drafting and review among the capabilities available for evaluation. The important boundary is that generated work remains reviewable, editable and subject to human control.

Software can help organize evidence, expose missing steps and reduce repetitive drafting. It cannot replace auditor competence, impartiality, technical judgment or the responsibility attached to a certification decision. Any responsible implementation should make that division of responsibility explicit.

What certification clients may notice

A better-connected operating system can also affect the organizations seeking certification. In principle, structured workflows can reduce repeated requests for the same information, make outstanding actions easier to understand and keep evidence attached to the correct stage of the certification process.

The practical experience will depend on how each certification body configures and governs the platform. Technology does not remove the need for clear requirements, secure information handling, responsive communication or a defensible review process.

Questions to ask during an evaluation

A live demonstration is most useful when it is tested against the certification body's real workflow rather than a generic feature list. Teams should bring examples of their scope structure, audit programme, report templates, decision process and surveillance controls, while protecting confidential client information.

• Can the workflow reflect the body's standards, schemes and accreditation context?
• How are roles, permissions, competence and impartiality controls enforced?
• What evidence is retained for calculations, changes, approvals and signatures?
• How are client data, backups, exports and access termination handled?
• Which existing documents and records can be migrated without losing traceability?
• How are AI-assisted outputs identified, reviewed and approved by accountable people?

How the first-cohort waitlist works

Certiva says waitlist position is determined by the time a request is received. From 28 September, certification bodies will be contacted in order as onboarding capacity becomes available. If an organization is not ready or does not respond, the next body in the queue may be offered the place.
